This is the second is a short series of mid-week heart meditations. First we focused on connecting the personal heart with the planetary heart. (Recording available here)
For our second outing, we go a step further and connect the personal heart with the solar heart.
Throughout our history, until fairy recently, we have acknowledged the sun as the a powerful god-like presence in our lives. As we have become more “civilised”, we have moved away from worshipping and honouring the sun or the earth, as sources of intelligent benevolence, and so have lost touch with some of the most significant avenues of guidance and sustenance available. We have much to gain from coming back to a deep connection with these extraordinary beings.
As I sit to meditate, connecting with the sun to ask what wants to be written, I feel channels open, from crown to heart. Quickly there is an influx of warm, bright light. The gratitude of the sun is evident. It wants to be present in our lives in a meaningful and direct way and is happy for the opportunity.
Each of us can have a personal relationship with the sun. I would suggest that it is important that we do. The sun is looking for willing human hearts to receive, embody and transmit its message, which is one of strength, joy and transcendence. Its energy is expanding now, and it will help us to do the same.
In other times we built temples all over the planet, aligned to receive the rays of the sun at particular times of the solar calendar. Now, we are remembering that we are the temple. When we align ourselves with the energy of the sun, alchemy happens.
